From the Desk Of The President

You know what they say; if I only knew then what I know now… who would have imagined that the ongoing recession of 2008 would prolong into late 2009 and have such an effect on all of us for years to come?

We celebrated 20 years (1988-2008) last year in the midst of some great accomplishments such as the 1916 Old Palm Beach County Court House Restoration yet we started 2009 in “unchartered waters”.....

After three difficult quarters, I must say things are looking better in the fourth quarter, with completion of projects such as Soffer and Hernandez Estates to the Historic Exterior Restoration of the Old Ft. Pierce Post Office. Together with new design assignments this winter and three awards, 2009 SWA Transfer Station Excellence Award, from the National Solid Waste Association, and 2009 Firm of the Year and Chapter Recognition Award for Corporate Place at Tradition from the Palm Beach County Chapter of the AIA. We are beginning to see “green sprouts” in late 2009 and remain hopeful in 2010.

I do hope that you enjoy our newsletter and an improving economy sooner rather than later in 2010.
